Overview
cromu is a crochet project management app. All your data is stored locally on your device. We do not operate any servers and do not collect, transmit, or store any personal information.
Information We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect personal information (name, email, phone number, etc.)
- We do not require account creation or login
- We do not track your location
- We do not share your data with any third parties (other than the services described below)
Data Stored on Your Device
cromu stores the following data locally on your device only:
- Crochet project information (project names, counter values, yarn notes)
- Pattern data (text patterns, images, PDF files you import)
- App preferences (language, display settings, nickname)
- Profile photo (if you choose to set one)
This data never leaves your device. If you uninstall the app, all data is permanently deleted.
Device Permissions
cromu may request the following permissions:
- Photo Library / Storage: To select images for projects and patterns, and to save generated pixel art designs to your device gallery.
- Files: To import PDF or text pattern files from your device.
These permissions are requested only when you use the related features and can be revoked at any time through your device settings.
Third-Party Services
Google AdMob
cromu displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob. Google may collect device identifiers, general location (IP-based), and app usage data related to ad interactions for ad personalization and delivery.
Google Firebase Analytics
cromu uses Firebase Analytics to understand app usage and improve the experience. It collects screen views, feature usage events, app language setting, and general device information. It does NOT collect personal information, project content, patterns, or yarn notes.
Google Firebase Crashlytics
cromu uses Firebase Crashlytics to detect and fix crashes. It collects crash logs, device state, device information, and a random installation identifier.
Children's Privacy
cromu is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Data Security
Since all data is stored locally on your device, it is protected by your device's security measures.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected with an updated effective date.
